After good feedback and radio play on "Keep Ya Eyes On My Kicks"
The One Pham single "Get
Away" is also getting good feedback from DJ's and radio

SOUNDCHECK, Inc. and
MDI Distribution want to
wish Omar Silva and the
Maldeamores team the best
of luck!
Sy Smith - “I
stay cool under pressure when others might pop; I
cherish tradition yet (I’m) unorthodox, yeah… I’m ruled
by the misconstrued god of the sky, consider me wild but
I always aim high. I’m unpredictable and so out-of-step,
ahead of my time and bent on intellect. I’m a sucka for
anything breaking new ground, turned on so much by
adventurous sound.” (Lyrics from “Aquarius Rising”)
Sure, you can learn a lot about Sy Smith by reading
this bio, but her own lyrics tell a much more colorful
and complete story. Her debut CD The
Syberspace Social speaks volumes; about
her musical background, dreams, determination, sense of
humor, not to mention her mastery of musical
composition! She picks up synth-laced soul music where
Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock left off; experimenting
with unique sounds, skillfully uniting hip-hop, R&B,
jazz, funk and with elements of dance over ethereal
harmonies to make what she calls futuristic
soul. Smith takes the listener to a cosmic
café where freedom is encouraged and progressive
thinking is demanded.

Congratulations
are in order for
Quincy
Delight Jones Jr.
- Not only has he
entertained various genres of
the music industry as a musician
Q, in my personal opinion is an
Ambassador of the entertainment
industry worldwide. We've
seen him accept Grammy awards,
bring together respected and
talented vocalists for musical
tributes (We Are The World),
open his own Juke Joint,
continue to receive royalties
for a television show about a
junk dealer (Sanford & Son), and
travel the world to support
various worthy causes. I
have had the honor to meet him
at the release party for Alicia
Keys first project thanks to
Clive Davis, and Ken Wilson.
During those brief moments when
others were trying to get his
attention Quincy took the time
for the all important photo op,
and more importantly to
congratulate me for my work at
Sirius. He said to me "Ken
you're a pioneer always remember
that". Then continued by
telling me to contact his office
about a project he was doing in
Italy and he felt that DJ
Grandmaster Flash should be
involved. In less than 5
minutes Quincy Jones had secured
my belief in him as a person,
his music, and his appreciation
for everyone involved in the
business of entertainment and,
in his "Musical Gumbo".
Check out the
November issue of Ebony with
Jennifer Hudson, Queen Latifah
and Alicia Keys on the
cover. It features an interview with
Quincy by Joy
T. Bennett tied into the release of Quincy’s
forthcoming book, The Complete
Quincy Jones: My Journey & Passions. You’ll
have to pick up the magazine to get the full scoop.

joint-venture deal between Hyztory Records (Chubb Rock)
and 404 Music.
The "Rock" is proving that "The Grown & Sexy
Theory" is a project for the grown folks of
Hip-Hop. Syndicated radio was quick to
play "Ol' School Flava, a tribute to the legends
of Hip-Hop. Chubb Rock is currently
touring and finishing the project. For
